Wavedancer's Story

Bringing Wavedancer Into Her New Era

When we bought Wavedancer in 2022, we knew we were taking on a boat with extraordinary history — a vessel that had already crossed the Atlantic twice during her years as Master Craftsman under REME (images below).

During her time with REME she survived a hurricane, had a new engine fitted in the Caribbean & suffered hull damage off the Cornish Coast. During the Atlantic crossings she had up to 10 service men onboard at any one time. Not an easy past!

What she needed was not a rescue, but a revival: a careful, thoughtful refit that honoured her past while preparing her for serious blue‑water sailing once again.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve rebuilt, renewed, and refined almost every part of her. This page shares the major upgrades we’ve completed and the work that has transformed Wavedancer into the capable ocean‑ready boat she is today.

The images below show Master Craftsman under REME and then underneath as Wavedance of Clyde in 2022

She was a lovely boat , pictured here in 2022, but she needed a lot of TLC! Here is a non-exhastive list of what we've done!
